Q) Tell us a little bit about yourself in general
A) I'm from Hoover, Alabama. I'm 5'4". I have 6 people in my family, 3 brothers and we all start with D. I have not decided my major yet.
Q) How old were you when you started gymnastics?
A) 6 years old, J.I.G.A. - Joel Inman.
Q) Do you have a favorite gymnast? Who? What is it about that gymnast that you like in particular?
A) Dominique Dawes - I like her personality.
Q) What is your best apparatus? Why?
A) Bars
Q) What is your best competition performance?
A) Bama vs. Penn. State
Q) Favorite competition location?
A) U of A - Coleman Coliseum. I enjoy the crowds.
Q) Interesting travel experiences through gymnastics competitions?
A) One year I went to a meet in Memphis and the night we were coming back it snowed. All the was back the roads were closing behind us. We made great time 'til we got to the bottom of our neighborhood. It took us 3 hours to get to my house from that point.
Q) Tell us about your collegiate recruiting experience. Who recruited you, how many visits did you take, and at what point did you decide to attend the University of Alabama?
A) I took two recruiting visits. One to Florida and one to Central Michigan. I never thought I had a chance to come to Alabama so I never tried.
Q) What skills are you currently practicing and do you expect to contribute on each apparatus this season?
A) Bars - Double layout and Jeagar
Vault - Pike Front and Tuck half
Beam - Double tuck dismount
Q) Do you have a best and worst experience involving gymnastics?
A) Best - The first time I walked on the floor of a University of Alabama meet and had my name announced as being on the team. |
