Q) Tell us a little bit about yourself in general.
A) I graduated from Severna Pack High School with a 3.8 grade point average. I have one sister, Annie (14). I love gymnastics. In my spare time I like to read and go to baseball games. My best friends are Shannon, Brea, and Steve. I love Alabama!

Q) How old were you when you started gymnastics? Where? Coaches?
A) 5 years old. My coaches were John Barrows, Jane Kaiser, Bob Ovellete, and Kathy Wilson at Docksiders Gymnastics near Annapolis where I was a Level 10 gymnast.

Q) Do you have a favorite gymnast? Who? What is it about that gymnast that you like in particular?
A) This year they would be Mandy Chapman and Gwen Spidle. They are seniors and I look up to them.

Q) What is your favorite apparatus? Why?
A) Floor - I get to show off and I like to tumble.

Q) What was your best competition performance?
A) One was when I won the Region 7 meet last year. Last year was Nationals because it was my last meet and it meant a lot to me.

Q) Favorite competition location?
A) The University of Alabama, of course.

Q) Interesting travel experiences through gymnastics competitions?
A) I've been all over the country and met wonderful people. I've done more in my 18 years than most kids and I'm very lucky.

Q) Tell us about your collegiate recruiting experience. Who recruited you, how many visits did you take, and at what point did you decide to attend the University of Alabama?
A) I took visits to West Virginia, Florida, Penn. State, Michigan State, and Alabama. Alabama was the last place I went. When I took my first step on campus, I knew this was the place for me. I love the girls and the coaches and all the people down here.

Q) What skills are you currently practicing and do you expect to contribute on each apparatus this season?
A) On beam I'm learning a new mount to a series. On bars I am working on a twist out of my dismount. On the vault I am doing a layout ½ twist (round-off entry). On the floor I am working on a ½ twist double front.

Q) What are your academic and athletic goals for the upcoming season?
A) I want to get used to college life and do the best I possibly can at school. I want to contribute to the team wherever I can and as much as possible. I think all of us have the goal of winning the National Championship.

Q) Do you have a best and a worst experience involving gymnastics?
A) My worst was when I broke my wrist at t meet. I am most proud of the person I have become through the sport. If you get a chance to see me anywhere say "he".
