Q) How did you spend your summer vacation?
A) "At home with family, working camps (gymnastics) and working at the video store. I was also here (Tuscaloosa) working out."
Q) Now that fall practice has begun, what new skills are you working on ?
A) "Double layout/full out off the bars. A 1/1 twisting reverse Hecht on bars. Pike front ½ on vault."
Q) What one thing about you will surprise the Tide fans during the upcoming competition year?
A) "Nothing."
Q) Describe some of your team mates and how you think they will contribute to the 2000 team.
A) "I think all of them are working hard and will contribute in one way or another to our season. Everyone seems to be working towards the same goal this year. It's pretty awesome."
Q) Who do you think will wow the fans? Who do you think is the "sleeper" on this team?
A) "Our two freshmen, Sara and Kristen, are going to be impressive. I think Natalie will also surprise the crowd."
Q) In your opinion, what will it take for this team to win the national championship?
A) "Not getting hurt, staying determined (having the heart)."
Q) Who are the leaders on this team?
A) "Everyone - in one way or another everyone is leading this team. We all look to each other for an example."
Q) In your opinion, which apparatus will have the greatest number of Tide gymnasts competing for a spot in the line up?
A) "Beam and Bars."
Q) What is your favorite aspect about college gymnastics?
A) "The teammates and the fans."
Q) What is your opinion of the possibility of the SEC Championship being held at a neutral site, instead of being held on a rotational basis at each campus?
A) "I don't like it. I think the pressure of going to compete in someone else's home brings out the best in everyone."
Q) How is your overall health? Did you have any surgery/rehab in the off season?
A) "Pretty good. I had rehab for knees but it's something I've been doing since my freshman summer because it makes me stronger."
Q) If you had to come up with a theme for this year's team, what would it be?
A) "Like a rock."
