  • Graduated from St. John High School in Gulfport, MS 
  • Mississippi State Champion, 1992-94 
  • Finished third in the all around, uneven bars and all balance beam at Regionals in 1993 
  • Finished fourth on the balance beam at 1993 nationals 
  • Trained at various national team training centers in Germany in 1993 
  • First gymnast from the state of Mississippi to compete at Nationals, and only gymnasts from Mississippi to place at Nationals

Q) How did you spend your summer vacation?
A) "I spent my vacation here (Tuscaloosa), lifting lots of weights."

Q) Now that fall practice has begun, what new skills are you working on?
A) "I am working floor exercise again."

Q) What one thing about you will surprise Tide fans during the upcoming competition year?
A) "After three years I've changed my beam series."

Q) Describe some of your team mates and how you think they will contribute to the 2000 team.
A) "Everyone will definitely contribute. Our depth is wonderful."

Q) Who do you think will wow the fans? Who do you think is the "sleeper" on this team?
A) "Kristin Sterner and Katie Hornecker."

Q) In your opinion, what will it take for this team to win the national championship?
A) "Staying healthy."

Q) Who are the leaders on this team?
A) "Robin Hawkins and Krista Gole."

Q) In your opinion, which apparatus will have the greatest number of Tide gymnasts competing for a spot in the line up?
A) "Bars."

Q) What is your favorite aspect about college gymnastics?
A) "The team atmosphere."

Q) What is your opinion of the possibility of the SEC Championship being held at a neutral site, instead of being held on a rotational basis at each campus?
A) "I like that it's held at SEC schools."

Q) How is your overall health? Did you have any surgery/rehab during the off season?
A) "I am healthy."

Q) If you had to come with a theme for this year's team, what would it be?
A) "The team with a thousand routines."
