Q) How did you spend your summer vacation?
A) "I worked out most of the summer and I took a week's vacation to Spain with my school Spanish Club."
Q) Now that fall practice has begun, what new skills are you working on ?
A) "Vault - handspring front pike ½; Bars - new dismount, double front with a ½; Beam - no new skills, just a new dance routine. Floor - new routine to Mambo #5."
Q) What one thing about you will surprise the Tide fans during the upcoming competition year?
A) "My floor music."
Q) Describe some of your team mates and how you think they will contribute to the 2000 team.
A) "Everyone is going to contribute in some way or another. I think Andree will be the powerhouse, Lissy is very consistent. It's hard to just name a few though, because everyone gives something to the team."
Q) Who do you think will wow the fans? Who do you think is the "sleeper" on this team?
A) "The whole team."
Q) In your opinion, what will it take for this team to win the national championship?
A) "Working together, supporting each other, and staying injury free."
Q) Who are the leaders on this team?
A) "Lissy Smith - she is a wonderful motivator and is always supportive and helpful. The whole team is also very good at being leaders."
Q) In your opinion, which apparatus will have the greatest number of Tide gymnasts competing for a spot in the line up?
A) "Beam and bars."
Q) What is your favorite aspect about college gymnastics?
A) "The team aspect. Everyone is so supportive and motivating. It makes it much easier to practice in that type of environment."
Q) What is your opinion of the possibility of the SEC Championship being held at a neutral site, instead of being held on a rotational basis at each campus?
A) "I really haven't experienced either."
Q) How is your overall health? Did you have any surgery/rehab during the off season?
A) "Very well. No surgery/rehab but I took it easy on my foot over the summer."
Q) If you had to come up with a theme for this year's team, what would it be?
A) "Raise the roof!"
