Q) How did you spend your summer vacation?
A) "Summer school. I went to the Florida Keys and had a great time in Key West."
Q) Now that fall practice has begun, what new skills are you working on?
A) "A pike Jaeger (on the uneven bars)."
Q) What one thing about you will surprise the Tide fans during the upcoming competition year?
A) "I have a new floor routine (with secret music!)."
Q) Describe some of your team mates and how you think they will contribute to the 2000 team.
A) "Kristin's (Sterner) 'power'; Natalie's 'lines'; Gina's 'elegance' "
Q) Who do you think will wow the fans? Who is the "sleeper" on this team?
A) "Lexa's bar routine."
Q) In your opinion, what will it take for this team to win the national championship?
A) "Consistency."
Q) Who are the leaders on this team?
A) "Lissy (Smith)."
Q) In your opinion, which apparatus will have the greatest number of gymnasts competing for a spot in the line up?
A) "Beam."
Q) What is your favorite aspect about college gymnastics?
A) "The celebration after the meets."
Q) What is your opinion of the possibility of the SEC Championship being held at a neutral site, instead of being held on a rotational basis at each campus?
A) "I like the home crowd every so often."
Q) How is your overall health? Did you have any surgery/rehab in the off-season?
A) "I had surgery again in 9/99." Note: Raegan's first surgery in1999 came after the SEC Championship meet; she injured her knee after pre-meet warm ups following a dismount from the balance beam. Raegan has been practicing all events since her knee was scoped and seems to be poised to reenter the all around competition for the 2000 season.
Q) If you had to come up with a theme for this year's team, what would it be?
A) "Family Ties"
