What a warrior! She had to actually improvise part of her routine near the release series, that required her to leave out the 1/2 turn front giant but still allowed her to rotate back under to complete the Khorkins; as a result she also missed perfect vertical on two handstands near the end; hop back on the double layout also deducted - the judges conferrred for several minutes afterwards because one judge wanted to give it a start value of 9.90 while the other argued the 10 start value position.

One step forward on the landing of the Omeliantchik- body position was good in the air but form needs to be tighter (legs together throughout descent).

What a warrior!  Hit the opening E-level passes with panache (double front Arabian, 1 1/2 through to a 2 1/2 twist) and ended with a super confident double pike, double turn to Homma flip.  Cat leap needed a little more amplitude and tighter body position in the air for maximum scoring.

2007_04_14: NCAA Regionals:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.850:

Adjusted her routine to avoid straining her shoulder by removing the Omeliantchik element near the end.  Very nice round off to bhs to double tuck, a little jam on the landing with a quick step to balance out.

2007_04_14: NCAA Regionals:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Wow, you never would have guessed that Terin was having shoulder problems just a week earlier because this was definitely one of her best routines of the year.  Handstands were on top of the bar and the hop on the double layout dismount was the only area that the judges could deduct.

2007_03_31: SEC Championships:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.850:

Terin had a little loose form on the Humphrey mount (threw 2 1/2 turns instead of 3 also) and slightly checked the landing of her final element in the flight series (full twisting bhs to bhs to layout step-out); rest of the routine was solid and she dismounted with the hardest element that night on beam across all teams: round off to bhs to double tuck, small step as well on the landing.

2007_03_31: SEC Championships:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Nice difficulty and beautiful toe point and extension as usual - toe on 1/2 turn to front giant to Khorkina release, full turn and a hop full at the end before dismounting with a double layout, hop back on the landing.  Stick the landing and she was looking at an SEC individual title on bars.

2007_03_31: SEC Championships:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.825:

Omeliantchik - form was better, landing was centered, but step forward cost her the higher score.

2007_03_31: SEC Championships:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.750:

Stepped just over the line on the second pass of the 1 1/2 through to a 2 1/2 twist and this was partially due to her being a little off center of the diagonal pathway into the corner.  She opened with a very nice landing of the double front Arabian and ended with a strong double pike.   Automatic one tenth deduction for the step out of bounds.

2007_03_16: Auburn:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Great flight series (full twisting bhs to bhs to layout step-out) and a huge dismount pass of the round off to bhs to double tuck, where Terin garnered great amplitude and had one small check on the landing only.

2007_03_16: Auburn:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Other than the cowboy form on the opening double front Arabian (stuck the landing), this was a great routine from start to finish.  She had no problems this week with the second pass of a 1 1/2 to a 2 1/2 twist and closed with a double pike.  Dance and presentation were great as well.

2007_03_16: Auburn:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Well-centered Omeliantchik, nice form and one step forward on the landing only.

2007_03_16: Auburn:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.825:

Added another pirouette to her routine before the toe-on toe-off to 1/2 to front giant to Khorkina release; the judges hit her hard on not reaching vertical on two of her handstands and during the hop full at the end of the routine (not right on top of the bar); also deducted her on the double layout dismount.

2007_03_09: UCLA:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Hop back on the double layout dismount, just missed vertical on one handstand.

2007_03_02: LSU:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.825:

Popped up and back on the landing of her double front Arabian to open, a deduction of at least one tenth (seemed to not anticipate the landing as well this week but continued on with the routine without further problems).  Nice 1 1/2 through to a 2 1/2 (though a slight jam occurred on the final element landing); closed with a strong double pike.

2007_03_02: LSU:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Full series this week in combination: full twisting bhs to bhs to layout step-out.  Nice switch leap to wolf, Omeliantchik looked good, closed with a very strong round off to bhs to double tuck (good height), one step back on the landing; well-controlled otherwise.

2007_03_02: LSU:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Great routine, highlighted by her aggressive execution of the critical bonus series of the toe-on 1/2 turn to front giant to Khorkina. The hop full at the end of the routine to giant-giant to double layout wowed the crowd once again.

2007_03_02: LSU:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

This vault (Yurchenko 1/2 on - front pike off) looked even better than last week's 9.90 scoring effort, marred only by a small hop on the landing.

2007_02_23: North Carolina:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.925:

Well-controlled double front Arabian to open, almost a perfect second tumbling pass of the very difficult 1 1/2 twist to a 2 1/2 twist; new dance elements were incorporated since the first and second passes are almost back to back now. Finished with another solid double pike.  The deductions may have come on some of the leaps needing greater amplitude and toe point/extension.

2007_02_23: North Carolina:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.825:

Kotchetkova (full twisting bhs) well-executed again this week as a single element, which she gets credit for but does not obtain bonus when not connected to the flight series (bhs to layout-stepout); switch leap to wolf (could use a little more split and amplitude); Omeliantchik showed excellent control; round off to bhs to double tuck dismount, one step back.  Has removed the punch front from her routine for now.

2007_02_23: North Carolina:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.925:

New release move series: toe-on toe-off 1/2 turn to front giant to Khorkina release; hop full at the end to giant-giant to double layout dismount (hop back on landing cost her).

2007_02_23: North Carolina:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Wonderful execution of the Omeliantchik this week (Yurchenko 1/2 on - front pike off) with the slightest hop on the landing.

2007_02_16: Arkansas:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.850:

Full twisting back handspring (Kotchetkova); bhs to layout step-out (no problems on any of these elements); switch leap to wolf jump; 1/4 twisting back handspring to split position (nailed it); round off to bhs to double tuck dismount, one step on the landing.  Major congrats from her teammates and the coaches as well.

2007_02_16: Arkansas:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.325:

We thought Terin was heading for a 10 routine of her own after the opened with the most perfect double front Arabian we have seen from her in three years (landed chest high, legs together, no steps), but she touched down on the final element of the very difficult and unique 1 1/2 to 2 1 /2 second pass.  Finished with a strong double pike.

2007_02_16: Arkansas:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.850:

Yurchenko 1/2 twist on - front pike off (Omeliantchik) had better form in the air, was centered, deducted mainly for one step forward on the landing.  We saw this as a higher scoring vault on the replay.

2007_02_16: Arkansas:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

One of her best routines of the year, major deduction came on just missing perfect vertical position on the last handstand and a hop on the double layout dismount as well.

2007_02_10: Georgia:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.375:

Full twisting bhs (completed as a single element); bhs to layout stepout flight series, nice; punch front required her to put one hand down to catch herself and she was not able to stay on;  rest of routine was fine, including a stuck 1 1/2 twist dismount.

2007_02_10: Georgia:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Opened with a terrific double front Arabian, second E pass to follow of the unique 1 1/2 to a 2 1/2 twist (slightly jammed the landing of the second element here); finished with a very strong double pike.

2007_02_10: Georgia:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Smallest hop forward on the landing of the Omeliantchik (Yurchenko 1/2 twist on - front pike off).  She is getting great height with this vault.

2007_02_10: Georgia:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.850:

Bunny hop on the double layout dismount and just missed perfect vertical position on a few of her handstands. Hop full to Geinger combo looked strong.

2007_02_02: Kentucky:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.925:

Opened with a sky-high double front Arabian, no problems on the landing; followed with the very difficult 1 1/2 to a 2 1/2 twist, slightly pounced the landing in place of the second element but kept moving; finished with a terrific double pike, moved immediately into a double turn and Homma flip and then a salute to the judge.  It's great to see Terin's enthusiasm for this routine with music that she can show her personality and impish humor through; we love it and so does the Bama Nation.

2007_02_02: Kentucky:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Excellent, polished routine, with added difficulty this week of the round off to bhs to double tuck dismount, one step back on the landing.  Omeliantchik and Kotchetkova elements were executed very well, nice punch front and switch leap to wolf had much better amplitude this week as well.  The fans really appreciated the more difficult dismount and showed it with hearty applause.

2007_02_02: Kentucky:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Another difficult routine (hop full to Gienger release!) that would have scored higher except for a few handstands not being right on top of the high bar; double layout dismount also had a small hop back.

2007_02_02: Kentucky:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.750:

Omeliantchik was deducted heavily for a big lunge forward on the landing despite excellent form and height/distance.

2007_01_26: Auburn:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.950:

This is the score Terin should have received last week at Florida.  Opened with a double front Arabian, second pass of a 2 1/2 twist to punch front, closed with a perfect double pike, legs together on the landing, no step required to balance.  The crowd loved her presentation and big smile throughout, as well as the sassy dancing.

2007_01_26: Auburn:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Great routine, full twisting bhs to bhs to layout step-out; punch front (landed high this week on her toes), switch leap to wolf,  1/4 bhs to split handstand position,  and a 1 1/2 twisting dismount, small bunny hop.  This routine deserved a higher score too.

2007_01_26: Auburn:
bars: Terin Humphrey: 9.900:

Breathtaking routine marred only by the bunny hop on the dismount (argh!).  Her extra effort to hit the handstands right on top of the high and low bars and the hop full to Gienger combination were top-notch.

2007_01_26: Auburn:
vault: Terin Humphrey: 9.825:

Omeliantchik had better form mid-air this week and landing was more controlled (bunny hop). Arguably could have been scored higher.

2007_01_19: Florida:
beam: Terin Humphrey: 9.275:

Hit the most difficult flight series but fell on a front punch she could do in her sleep; sigh

2007_01_19: Florida:
floor: Terin Humphrey: 9.875:

Double front Arabian, 2 1/2 to punch front, double pike - hit all passes;  9.90 routine minimum
