Front Pike

The first
time in three years we have seen her miss this vault. She had her hands
placed wrong on the vault table and opened up too soon out of her pike,
hence the fall on her foo foo. Better days are just ahead. |

Nice form
and height in the air but one foot forward cost her. We thought this vault
was a little underscored. |

She landed
this vault like Svetlana Boginskaya (one foot in front of the other) with no
movement. Loose form upon entry and limited height were likely deductions. |

A powerful
vault in the air, with very nice height and distance and only a small one
foot check on the landing. |

This vault
was landed like a dart with the smallest of checks in place. May have
deserved higher. |

Another
awesome vault but she did scoot back as she was raising her arms to salute
the judges. Benefit of the doubt goes to the vaulter? |

Great
routine, slight ankle separation again at the follow through of her Gienger
release but she fought for the landing on the dismount of a double tuck out
of a full pirouette. |

Definitely
one of her best routines of the season. Reached all handstands but the one
during the transition to the low bar and landed the reverse tuck with only a
slight check of one foot. |

She is
gaining confidence each week. Giant to half turn on top of the high bar to
two inverts was very cool, as was the Tkatchev release and the double layout
dismount was stuck cold. She rotates very fast and now just needs to
perfect some of the handstands to maximize her scoring potential. |

Kristin

9.925 |
Her best
routine by far on the bars so far this season. You could tell that she had
been working extra hard on the handstands because she reached all within the
required degree span and again landed the double front very well. Both
release moves showed excellent amplitude (full twisting Tkatchev and a
Tkatchev). |
|
Dana
Filetti |

She is
working hard to secure her spot in the bars line up. This routine was very
solid and the deductions likely came on just missing a few of her handstands
and the loose form on her double front. |
|
Jeana Rice |
9.900 |
Great
routine, two inverts, half turn to immediate Tkatchev release, reached
handstand on each uprise and landed the full in beautifully. |

Nice
extension on the bhs, layout to Korbut and the switch leap to two straddle
jumps. Swami says that Michelle will be adding some new elements in the
upcoming weeks to increase her scoring potential. |
|
Dana
Pierce |
9.775 |
She
probably lost a tenth after bending at the waist on her layout to balance
the landing. Swami also says we will be seeing more difficulty in this
routine soon. Great confidence displayed by Dana when moving up and down
the beam. |

Shannon

Very nice
routine after struggling during long warm-ups. The flight series and all
leap series were executed with no problems and she nailed the double twist
dismount (just a little loose on the form here). |

Ready to
jump in for the injured Mari-Christine, she performed all moves with nice
concentration and was deducted mainly for the bend at the waist and a step
to balance on her layout flight element. Very nice landing of the gainer
pike, form much improved. |
|
Kristin
Sterner |
9.925 |
No
deductions evident until she took one step back on landing the very
difficult double pike dismount. |
|
Jeana Rice |
9.850 |
She was
reduced to one practice this week after suffering a stomach bug and the lack
of repetitions may have caught up with her during this routine. She had a
balance check on her second layout but pulled it around nicely and took a
small scoot on her double twist dismount. |

Powerful
routine, with three double backs (pike, two tucks) but she was deducted for
stepping just past the line on her first pass. |
|
Rachael
Delahoussaye |
9.500 |
She also
experienced problems staying in bounds during her second and third passes.
Her first pass was excellent (front, front full to front layout) and the
dance throughout was very expressive. |
|
Shannon
Hrozek |
9.950 |
She
surprised her fans by throwing the double tuck as her third pass and
improvising some of her final dance moves. The booming opening pass of a
double pike and the second pass (front, whip full to front punch) were right
on. The new dance moves were executed with more confidence this week. |
|
Michelle
Reeser |
9.950 |
An
excellent routine as all three passes were landed perfectly. Dance
interpretation was excellent and she improvised at the end as well with a
nifty body roll to ensure finishing her final salute to the Ten Troupe on
time. |
|
Stephanie
Kite |
9.850 |
She just
saved herself from an out of bounds deduction on the difficult front through
to a double full to a punch front and finished strongly with her second and
third passes. |
|
Kristin

9.925 |
A great
routine with some new dance moves after her second pass. Double pikes to
open and close were the highlights. |
