She was
prepping for the Yurchenko 1/1 vault that she will be throwing in the next
week or two. Landed very well, nice form maintained throughout flight and
slight shift of left foot on landing to check. |

One hop on
the landing but a nice-looking vault overall. A little leg separation during
the flight cost her as well. |

This was a
terrific routine, no separation at the ankles this week on the Gienger
release, which was way above the high bar. She landed the double tuck chest
high, no movement. We thought this routine was underscored since she also
reached all of her handstands and had smooth transitions and tight form
throughout. |

Missed her
release move this week (Tkatchev) after starting the routine off with
tighter form on her giants. Small step on her reverse tuck off the high
bar. |
|
Dana
Filetti |
9.875 |
Excellent
routine; barely missed one handstand and had a terrific Gienger release.
Got great distance from the bars on her dismount of the double front but was
deducted likely for the cowboying of her rotation spin. |

Kristin
Sterner |
9.825 |
This score
confused us after watching several replays of the tape, as there were no
major deductions that we could find. Deduction Guesses: slightly crooked on
the Tkatchev release from straight on angle and just off center a bit on the
landing of the double front? |
|
Larissa
Stewart |
9.875 |
The first
handstand uprise after mounting the high bar was perfectly vertical and she
completed both inverts and the Tkatchev release with no problems. The
double layout dismount was stuck cold. Deductions likely occurred for
missing her handstand on the transition to the low bar and twisting early on
the second invert as she moved into a giant combination prior to her
release. |
|
Jeana Rice |
9.925 |
Just
slightly missed vertical on the first giant uprise but the rest of the
routine was super, including a stuck full-in dismount with both revolutions
above the high bar. |

Balance Beam

Gymnast |
Score |
Commentary |
|
Michelle
Reeser |
9.700 |
She bent
at the waist on her second flight series element (layout) and did not
combine it with the Korbut (third element). She adjusted immediately by
doing a straddle jump to immediate Korbut (fish flop) and the only other
deduction we saw was a scoot on the landing of the bhs to gainer layout. |
|
Dana
Pierce |
9.900 |
Super two-footed bhs to layout and the cartwheel to gainer layout dismount achieved great distance from the beam. |
|
Shannon
Hrozek |
9.825 |
Solid
routine overall but she lost the higher score after a balance check on the
landing of her first switch leap (flight series was perfect). She stuck the
double twist dismount but had to bend at the knees a bit to accomplish
this. |
|
Larissa
Stewart |
9.750 |
She
increased the difficulty of her dismount this week (running front full) and took slight
step on the landing. The rest of this routine was solid, including the
flight series (bhs-bhs-layout) and she threw a switch leap to ¾ wolf and
then a tuck full (not combined, so lost the extra bonus). Two front aerials
in combination were completed with ease. |
|
Jeana Rice |
9.775 |
Uncharacteristic bobble on her flight series, third element (layout) when
she bent at the waist after initially seeming to nail it. Rest of routine
looked great, including a double twist dismount, stuck. |
|
Kristin
Sterner |
9.850 |
She was
experiencing some fatigue after vault and completed this routine without the
front tuck mount and the wolf to standing pike combo. Double pike dismount
looked very good. |

Stepped
back twice and once out of bounds on her opening double pike pass; completed
the second and third double backs with no problems. |

Alexis
Brion |
9.625 |
Tide fans
present were just happy to see her back on the floor. She had too much
height and power on the opening double tuck (both revolutions above Bryan's
head) and stepped just over the line on her landing. Will upgrade to a
second double back in the upcoming weeks. Some new dance moves were debuted
to her same music from last year. |
|
Shannon
Hrozek |
9.850 |
Nice
routine, step back on the opening double pike pass and a slight step forward
on the final pass of a double tuck to check. She appears to be more
confident now with the new dance moves Dana has choreographed. |
|
Stephanie
Kite |
9.900 |
She threw
the front, double full, punch front combo as her opening pass and landed it
well. Perhaps a deduction for being slightly off center on this very
difficult pass. |
|
Jeana Rice |
9.900 |
Solid
routine, double pike, whip to 2 ½, whip to double full. A little
under-rotation of the final element of her second pass was likely deducted
for execution error. |
|
Rachael
Delahoussaye |
9.675 |
Great
dance but we noticed that this routine was adjusted to help her have more
stamina at the end by reversing her first and second passes and combining
them at the beginning. One tenth for just stepping out on her third pass. |
