Vault: Jeana Rice and Shannon Hrozek earn second place with a 9.925 and Alexis Brion wins it with a 9.95 (all three vaults were stuck cold).

Uneven Bars: Calli Ryals and Elise Ray tie for second and Bama's Jeana Rice wins it with a 9.95.

Balance Beam: Kroll of UM in third, followed by Elise Ray in second and Jeana Rice wins this one as well with a 9.95.

Floor Exercise: Becca Clauson and Lindsey Bruck score a 9.90 for third place, followed by Jeana Rice in second with a 9.925 and Alexis Brion wins it with a 9.95.

Bars: Larissa Stewart scored a 9.80 (stuck double layout).

Vault: Lauren Holdefer scored a 9.725 for her front pike 1/2 twist and Dana Pierce a 9.800 for her Yurchenko 1/1.

Floor: Dana Filetti scored a 9.80 for her routine.

Balance Beam: Rachael Delahoussaye inked a 9.775 and this was a better routine than the score indicated, so we should see her back in the line-up next week. She just was not in her "zone" tonight during warm-ups but came through during the exhibition.

Alabama will come out on top with a 197.725 to Michigan's 197.025. Ray received a 9.875 for her floor routine and Calli Ryals fell on her final pass so she received a 9.450. Michigan finished with a 49.350 on the floor to Alabama's 49.250 on the balance beam. Alabama still has work to do on the beam and they typically are a post-season team that scores well on this event, so we will look for them to kick it up a notch next week at SECs.

Rachael Delahoussaye just completed her beam exhibition and looked much sharper than in the long and short warm-ups. She wants to show the coaches that she can be counted on when post-season competition comes, which is next week by the way!

Side switch leap has one leg lifted slightly for balance. Nice leap series of wolf to two straddle jumps before she dismounts with a round off to gainer full twist, one step forward on the landing.

no major problem so far, as well as the hitch kick to sheep jump combination and she will dismount with a double twist, one small step to balance the landing.

Shannon Hrozek is up next for the Tide. Bruck finishes with two front tumbling passes after opening with a double pike.

She falls on the third element of her flight series (bhs-bhs-layout), as she did during warm-ups unfortunately. So that puts immediate pressure on the next four gymnasts up. She completes the switch leaps in combination with no problem but has trouble again on the punch front. Nice 3/4 straddle and she dismounts with a gainer pike off the end of the beam, one hop. Mantilia received a 9.800 for her floor routine.

pike to Bond music. Nice cat leap full turn, a little stumble on the landing of her second pass (front tumbling). She finishes with two front layouts as her final pass.

Michelle Reeser. She throws a flight series of bhs-layout-Korbut and a switch leap to wolf jump and another switch leap that she bends a bit at the waist and then moves to complete two straddle jumps before dismounting with a bhs-gainer full twist, chest high this week!

scored a 49.225. The running total after three events is Alabama 148.475 to Michigan's 147.675. The Tide will have to post at least five scores on balance beam without a fall to ice this meet.

but we saw this easily as a 9.95 because she did not take any major steps that were out of control. Dana Filetti is now on the floor with her opening triple pass, landed well, followed by a booming double pike, landed better. She boogies to Shakira and then prepares for some front tumbling in her final pass and almost loses her foot grip but stands it up. Nice exhibition.

Now for some Crimson Tide boogeying and a big grin for Ray Lyons as she moves into her final pass, a whip through to a 2 1/2 twist! Yeah! Landed beautifully. Great difficulty. Elise Ray receives a 9.925 for her gorgeous beam routine.

She will get a 10 if she can nail the dismount, which she almost does (one hop back).

9.875 for her floor routine. Deiley is doing a nice job on the beam, just a few glitches and a hop or two on the landing of the full twist out of two back handsprings down the beam. She always has terrific form and extension and is very confident on this event.

double front with super confidence this week for a 9.825. Elise Ray received a 9.85 for her Yurchenko 1/1 and Deiley a 9.875 for hers, which she bounded backwards on, but she had greater distance. Mari Bayer completes a super uneven bars routine for a 9.875 (great toe point as usual and giant uprises, along with a piked Jaeger release). Jeana Rice finishes with an exclamation point with her stuck full in.

She did not compete after her first year apparently and has since helped as an assistant with the team. Christine Mantillia is the next senior introduced and is an academic achievement award winner. We have been informed that the SEC will have one official on-line score-keeper through their site only, therefore there will be no on-line scoring or commentary allowed during the meet by any representatives of the seven teams competing. We will be allowed to post commentary either in between in the media room or at the end of the meet. So this is a bigger reason why we need our fans to show up in droves if you live within driving distance! Let's have another terrific turn-out and bring the trophy home for the second year in a row.

Ryals has been injured over the past few weeks but looks ready to go on all events tonight. Her ankle and Jenny Deiley's are heavily wrapped but we expect to see some wonderful choreography from each on the floor tonight, as well as strong beam routines. Elise Ray creates her own brand of magic on the floor and we are looking forward to her routine as well.
