Full turn to Gienger release and a pak Salto, a full turn to double tuck dismount, bent at waist on landing, two steps forward, hence the lower score. She continues to improve her conditioning and it's showing in her practice and performance this past week. She now just needs more
reps to perfect.

A strong-looking routine until the under-rotation of the very difficult E-level dismount, an Arabian, which resulted in a fall backwards after she initially appeared to have pulled it off. This is the first time Shannon has fallen in competition in four years on the bars. Wow.

PBAs were impressed with her concentration following the previous routine's unfortunate last-second mishap. Dana is reaching her handstand positions more consistently and is not rushing her routine this year. Full turn to Gienger release, double front dismount (E level), one step on the
landing. A deduction likely occurred from the cowboy form on the double front saltos.

Terrific performance; reached all of her handstands and the pike Jaeger release was super-confident, as was the full turn to double tuck dismount; again executing both saltos above the high bar and a stuck landing. A little more distance from the high bar on the dismount would garner the
higher score.

Another super Shaposhnikova transition and a booming Hindorff release, along with a great landing of the double layout dismount. A little more amplitude on the double layout would garner the higher score.

She mounted from the high bar this week and threw a stalder as well as the toe-on ½ turn to Khorkina release, another full turn and a nifty transition to the low bar in the handstand position, ending with a stuck double layout dismount. Small deduction for just missing the handstand out of
the stalder.

Yurchenko Layout
Great height and distance but she took several steps back, definitely a "No No" on this easier vault.

Yurchenko Full Twist
She pounded this vault high into the air while maintaining her tight form and extension throughout, landing it decisively. This vault had distance, height and the best form next to Ashley's (9.90) and Orley Szmuch's Hristakieva (9.925 - UF).

Dana Pierce

|
Yurchenko Full Twist
Bent arms, limited repulsion off the vault table caused her to pike this one down again and she had to drop to a knee after landing. She tried again to maintain her form during the flight, which is definitely an improvement, but the lack of sufficient blocking off the vault table left her
little air time to pull this one around.

9.825 (10.00)

Yurchenko Full Twist On - Back Pike Off
One step back on the landing of this vault. A little more amplitude and a stuck landing will garner the higher score. A stronger push off the vault table is the key for Filetti as well.

|
Yurchenko ½ On - Front Tuck - ½ Tuck Off
The higher score frankly surprised us after seeing it on the replay. The judges may have been rewarding her for the unique and difficult vault type but her form during flight and landing, along with the awkward step to the right, did not appear to justify the final score.

Yurchenko Full Twist
A superior vault in terms of height, form in the air, and distance, marred only by one ½ step of her left foot back on the landing.

Opening double pike was executed very well, nice landing; two front layouts out of a front handspring were solid; she added difficulty in the final pass, a double twist to punch front, but she landed the second element lower than desired and had to hop to the right to adjust. Dana has lots of
difficult dance and leaps, including a double turn to wolf full combination and a ring leap. Very energetic presentation.

Super high double pike to open but she took a step back out of bounds and hopped again on this same foot to stop her momentum backwards, hence the automatic one-tenth deduction and another one likely for lack of control on the landing. However, her second pass was solid (front-front
full-front tuck) and the strong double tuck sealed the deal at the end. Dance and leap elements were executed without mishap.

Double front Arabian (E-level) to open, landed in bounds. Second pass of a whip ½ to front full was landed with more control this week and she finished with a front full to front layout, small hop forward on the landing but no problems this week with the boundary. Super dance and eye
contact with the crowd.

One judge scored this 9.75 and the other a 9.95. The only obvious deduction that we could determine would have come on the opening double pike, when Mari scooted back twice on one foot on the landing but was clearly still in bounds. Second and third passes were executed just fine (front
handspring-front full-front tuck and the round off to double twist); no balance steps taken and her leap and dance requirements were elegantly met as always.

She opened this week with a super high and tight double pike, landed in bounds, no steps. Second pass was the front through to a Rudi (1 ½ twist) and she finished with a front-front full-front pike. By executing greater difficulty with her first two passes and minimizing possible
deductions elsewhere, Erin earned her highest score ever on this event.

Double layout (E-level), front-front full-front layout, double pike, landings were solid on all three passes and she completed all of her dance elements and leap combinations without incurring a significant deduction.

Wolf leap full was perfect; very solid back handspring to layout flight series and a wolf leap to Korbut (straddle back dive) was executed without a check; a running switch leap ¼ turn had a slight bend forward at the waist upon landing but she covered this well and continued with the rest of her
routine, ending with a stuck gainer back pike dismount.

Nailed the flight series of a handstand to immediate back layout-step-out, back handspring to Korbut (straddle back dive), straddle-straddle-wolf combination, sheep jump (small check), tuck full (small check on the landing), double twist dismount (one step to the side).

Flight series was super solid (bhs-layout-layout), as was the switch leap to wolf jump combination, the hitch kick to sheep jump and the double twist dismount, small scoot on the landing.

Not sure where the deductions came in this routine. Front aerial to back handspring was connected; perhaps the judges detected the slightest hesitancy on the side split scale as she moved very carefully to pull her leg up against the side of her head; switch leap-straddle-wolf jump
combination had good form and the highlight was the very difficult tour j'ete leap, executed with nice amplitude. Dismount of a gainer back pike was stuck.

Beautiful round off layout-step-out mount but she started to collect small deductions with balance checks on the wolf full, the switch leap to ¼ side split leap, as well as the flight series (gainer back handspring to layout). The main deduction came on the landing of the double tuck, when
her foot appeared to catch the mat and slip it back a bit, leading to two more steps back to keep from falling. She had the most difficulty next to Terin's routine and when the execution of each element comes together, this will be a high-scoring event for Ashley.

Executed the Humphrey mount, the Kotchetkova to back handspring to layout, a switch leap to 3/4 twisting back handspring, the Omelianchik, in the split position, and a round off to back handspring to double tuck dismount (stuck). Now leads the nation on this event.
