Left out the toe-on toe-off to Tkatchev and did a full pirouette to half turn instead (may have adjusted due to concern about possibly over-shooting one uprise, not apparent to most) before completing the Tkatchev to pak Salto and also used the switch glide instead of the kip straddle cast to handstand but this appeared planned, as her rhythm was smooth throughout. Nice control on the dismount of the full pirouette to double tuck. |

Missed vertical on her handstand transition to the low bar and compensated with a switch glide. Also took a hop on the landing of her Arabian double front. The rest of her handstands were better this week and the Tkatchev had excellent amplitude. |

Very solid routine except for the step forward on the landing of the double layout dismount. |

Very confident and smooth routine from start to finish. Highlights included a toe-on toe-off to full turn to Tkatchev sequence, perfect transition to handstand on the low bar to immediate toe-shoot straddle transition back to the high bar and a gorgeous stuck double layout, landed chest high. Deductions taken by the judges were not apparent to us, so we will not comment on where these may have occurred. |

Took three steps back on the dismount landing of the double front after hitting the rest of her routine so well, including handstands. Still looking for the complete routine that we know she can deliver. |

Her handstand positions were much improved and she appeared to reach vertical on all but one this week; she took a step forward on the double dismount landing as well. |

First exhibition on this event and it was obvious that she is still working to perfect the main elements. Pak salto looked good but she lost her grip on the low bar during free hip circle to handstand and had to hop off. Dismount looked like a full in or a ½ in ½ out, landing was chest low, step forward (lost some power going into this off the high bar). Her handstands, toe point and pirouetting were impressive. |

Yurchenko 1/1 Perhaps a little underscored, as she had nice push off the vault table and control in the air with this vault but took one step on the landing. |

Yurchenko 1/1 Big vault as well, hop back cost her too. |

Yurchenko 1/1 Piked down a bit and shuffled feet on landing. |

Hristakieva (Yurchenko ½ off – front layout) Stuck the vault chest high but knees were bent a bit on impact. Nice form in the air. |

Yurchenko 1/1 Huge vault in the air but popped back on one leg and waved arms a bit. She was obviously not pleased with her effort but cranked it up later on floor and beam. |

Yurchenko 1/1 Big vault but hop on landing cost her. |

Yurchenko ½ on – front pike off Impressive vault from the freshman, one step on the landing. She had several excellent runs in long warm-ups, including one that she stuck. |

Bounded two steps back on the landing of her super high double pike pass to open. Nice control on the final two passes, but the judges mainly zapped her on the first one. |

Opened with a super double front Arabian and followed with a 2 ½ twist to punch front (small hop on landing); finished with a terrific stuck double pike, legs together, no steps on the landing (Romanian style!). Completed the leap series this week without a problem. Her best effort of the year on floor. |

Opened this week with the E tumbling pass, a super difficult double front (tuck) and landed it well with one step to balance; followed with a front-front full-front layout (large step forward to balance the landing); finished with a strong double pike. Deductions could have included some dance elements not being as polished and the judges maybe wanting to see a little more split and toe-point in her jumps/leap combinations. |

Rock solid on the ½ in ½ out and the awesome whip-whip-bhs to double pike; finished with a soaring front handspring to double full. Love this routine. |

Opened with a pike full in, followed by a front layout to front full twist to front layout; finished with a super double pike. There were no obvious problems with the landings on any of these passes. Her triple turn after the opening pass was super, executed with tight control of the revolutions. Assistant Coach Bryan Raschilla commented after the meet that one tenth may have been taken for Mel not getting as much height on the first tumbling pass as the judges would ideally like to see. But a 9.825? |

Double layout opening pass required one step forward to balance the landing; excellent front-front full-front layout and the closing double pike had excellent height and control on the landing as well. |

Opened with a double pike (best landing so far this year), followed by a front layout to 1 ½ twist (Rudi) and closed with a whip ½ to front full twist. Solid routine, no major breaks or slip-ups. |

Very confident on the flight series (bhs layout step-out) and the punch front. One step on the landing of the very difficult double front (tuck) dismount. |

9.825 |
Nice control, form throughout all of her elements (front aerial, bhs to layout step-out, switch leap to straddle, switch leap to pike) and she stuck the dismount this week (bhs to gainer full twist). |

Took a hop on her gainer back pike dismount and had too many small bobbles that started to add up. Still one of her better efforts of the season. |
| 5 Cassie Martin |
8.750 |
Looked good after the ring leap and the front aerial but was off on the second flight element completely (layout step-out) and lost credit for a later bail on the second element of her leap series (switch leap to double stag usually); this reduced her start value significantly, even though she threw a tuck jump to wolf combination to replace this. Stuck the dismount (bhs to gainer full twist). |

9.875 |
Small balance check on the third element of her flight series (layout step-out) and a hop on the landing of her new dismount, round off to 1 ½ twist. |
| EX Melanie Banville |
9.725 |
Another solid exhibition this week, looks like she is growing more confident with the revised routine. Highlights included a split full jump, bhs to layout step-out, switch leap to straddle. She had a balance check on the punch front and shuffled the landing of the double twist. |
