The Medalist Club is making 3 bus trips during the 2007 season. In addition, the Medalist Club has reserved a block of rooms at the Residence Inn City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Championships. 1. Bus trip to Athens, GA on February 10th for the Alabama-Georgia dual meet.
2. Bus trip to Auburn, AL on March 16th for the Alabama-Auburn dual meet.
3. Bus trip to Little Rock, AR on March 31st for the SEC Championship.
4. Hotel reservations for Salt Lake City, Utah on April 24th through 28th, 2007 for the 2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Championships.

Alabama-Georgia dual meet - Athens (February 10th)

Our first trip of the year will be to Athens, GA on Saturday, February 10, 2007. We will go over and back since the meet is at 4:00 eastern time. We will leave the Coleman Coliseum parking lot at 8:00 am and return after the meet. We will have interim stops to pick up and drop off passengers at exit 19 of I-459 in Birmingham (the bus will stop near the Colannade Cracker Barrel) and at exit 104 of I-20 at the 'Flying J' truck stop. There will also be a stop on the way for lunch. The cost of the bus trip will be $30.00 per person. Alabama-Auburn dual meet - Auburn(March 16th)

The second trip, the Friday, March 16th, 2007 Auburn trip, will also not be overnight. We will leave Coleman Coliseum parking lot at 12:00 noon and return immediately after the meet. Cost for the bus will be $20.00 per person. We will eat supper in Auburn prior to the meet.

SEC Championship - Little Rock (March 31st)

The third trip will be to SEC's on Saturday, March 31st, 2007. We will leave the coliseum parking lot on Saturday morning at 7:30 am. The cost of the bus trip will be $40.00 per person. We will spend the night at the Hampton Inn in North Little Rock, AR. The cost will be $79.00 for a double room, and will include breakfast. (Note: Unlike the procedure for regular season meets, the Medalist Club will not be reserving a block of tickets for the SEC Championship. Instead, season ticket holders desiring tickets in the Alabama block at SECs should order their tickets on the Alabama season ticket order form. All others desiring tickets in the Alabama block at SECs should contact the Alabama ticket office directly at 348-BAMA when gymnastics season tickets go on sale.)

2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Championships - Salt Lake City, Utah (April 24th through 28th, 2007)

The 2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Championships will be held April 26-28, 2007, on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. For the championships, the Alabama gymnastics team will be staying at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center (the former Doubletree). There are rooms available at the Hilton. However, the Medalist Club was unable to secure a block of rooms there at a rate favorable, and with other considerations acceptable, to our membership.

Fortunately, we have been presented with an opportunity to block 20 one-bedroom suites and 15 two-bedroom suites rooms at the Residence Inn City Center, which is only a block or two away from the team hotel. The rate for a one-bedroom suite is $129.00 per night, while the two-bedroom suites will cost $149.00 per night. These rates include free high-speed internet, free parking, a free hot breakfast each morning, and a free hospitality bar (for Monday through Thursday evenings, only).

These rooms are blocked for five nights, April 24th through 28th, 2007,checking out on the 29th. In order to book your suite, you may book online at www.marriott.com/slcri using the group code of "uaguagc" for the one-bedroom and "uaguagb" for the two-bedroom suite (leave out the quote marks) - or by calling Marriott reservations at 1-800-331-3131 and asking for the "Residence Inn City Center" in Salt Lake City and the "University of Alabama Gymnastics" block. If you want to book rooms before or after these dates at the special rates, you will need to call the groups sales representative, Joe Pepper, directly at 1-801-656-6135.

There is a cancellation policy in force for this opportunity. If you choose to cancel your rooms, you must do so no later than seven days prior to arrival. Otherwise, one night's lodging and tax will be charged to your credit card.

The block of 35 rooms will be held for us until March 24, 2007. However, we urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible in the event that we need more than 35 rooms for our group. Naturally, we will only be able to add more rooms to the block if they remain available.

For those of you needing transportation to and from the airport in Salt Lake City, the hotel uses the services of Express Shuttle, which charges $7.00 per person, each way.
