One judge scored it a 10. [ top... ] Morgan Dennis is up next for the Tide on vault [ 8:54 PM, 04/12/08 ] Another perfectly stuck Y 1/1 - crowd behind us yelling "10" - Unbelievable performance by the Tide - they are in a zone on this event but the judges are staying stingy. But Morgan gets the big score of 9.95 for her great amplitude and stuck landing chest high. [ top... ] Ricki Lebegern is up next for the Crimson Tide on balance beam (rotation 2) [ 8:53 PM, 04/12/08 ] She follows with a Y 1.5 and shifts the slightest bit on the landing from our angle for a 9.875. Score: 9.875 - best since her freshman year at nationals. One judge scored it a 9.95 [ top... ] Brittany Magee follows right behind with a Y 1/1 - best we've seen from her [ 8:50 PM, 04/12/08 ] in a good while - she certainly warmed up her technique enough to garner it in competition and she is rewarded with a 9.90. Bama scores a team total of 49.350 on floor [ top... ] Kayla Hoffman opens with the difficult pike full in - nice control - [ 8:33 PM, 04/12/08 ] Beautiful 2 1/2 to front layout - gorgeous in the air and on landing - huge smile now - split leap to split leap full jump combo - finishes with a double pike - stumbles forward on one step - chest down a bit, hence the step forward - routine was looking great up until that point, so they will have to deduct for that execution but they take minimal - 9.875 is the final score so she gets rewarded for the extra difficulty. [ top... ] Kassi Price is up next for Bama on floor [ 8:30 PM, 04/12/08 ] Opens with a 2 1/2 to punch tuck - great landing as usual - follows with a double tuck - lands it chest high - super control - ends with a difficult double pike - chest down a bit, legs also separated - moves into the final dance element and salutes the judges. Score: 9.850 though one gave her a 9.90 and one a 9.80. [ top... ] Sophomore Ricki Lebegern is up next for the GymTide on floor [ 8:26 PM, 04/12/08 ] She opens with a triple twist - nice control on the landing - one step back to balance - head high - front -front full twist to front layout - very nice - split leap to split full combination - finishes with a double pike - step back to balance the landing - great form in the air - on time with the music too. Score: 9.850 [ top... ] Kaitlin White, the senior from Allen, Texas is up next - opens with the super [ 8:24 PM, 04/12/08 ] difficult front punch layout through to a front double full twist - step back to balance the landing but under control - comes back with a double pike - step back to balance but landed it chest high - she finishes with a front to immediate Rudi - perfect - great smile to finish! Score: 9.850 [ top... ] Ashley O'Neal opens for the Tide on floor [ 8:22 PM, 04/12/08 ] Super solid front tuck through to bhs to double tuck - nice amplitude - huge smile on the landing - front -front full twist to front layout - nice - now time to sell with her special boogey moves - finishes with a double pike - solid! Santana music - comes back with a double pike - solid - closes with another double pike and falls back down and out of bounds and the crowd is silent for about two seconds and then cheers her as she salutes and walks off. Score: 9.350 [ top... ] Ashley Jackson on floor for OU [ 8:00 PM, 04/12/08 ] Opens with a double pike - solid - front half to front full for her second pass - split leap to straddle full - closes with a front tuck - major leg separation but she stands it out - crowd goes wild!
