Nice full turn to double tuck dismount, small step on the landing.

Rotation/rhythm was not as crisp as we are used to from Kaitlin, seemed to be trying extra hard to control her turns on top of the high bar to maximize her scoring. Nice Gienger release to pak Salto, check on the landing of the double tuck out of a full turn.

Stepped out of bounds on the opening pass of a high double pike; nice front-front full twist to front layout for her second pass; ended with a double tuck, chest down a bit. She sold it well but needs to contain that power on the corners.

After nailing the opening pass of a double pike and her second pass of a double tuck, we were blown away when she miscalculated on a very difficult cat leap double, getting her leg tangled and having to touch her hands down to catch herself; went into a floor dance move to try and cover but the judges were not fooled. Finished with a whip 1/2 to whip full - needs to have more amplitude, tends to go in flat on this final pass. Give her credit for standing up all the difficult
tumbling passes.

Opened with a more difficult pass - the front punch layout to immediate front double full (E) and came right back with a double pike, checked the landing a bit - finished with a front punch layout to 1 1/2 (Rudi) - nice dance and presentation, much better than last week at Auburn. Score is a little confusing but they may want to see more challenging leap/dance series from her in combination (though she does throw a running cat leap full with leg horizontal) and a layout step-out in
combination with the Rudi on her last pass.

She nailed every tumbling pass (2 1/2 to punch tuck, double tuck, double pike) and really executed with confidence. Other than a little leg split on the final pass, not sure why this routine did not score higher, especially compared to routines seen later by the opposing team with less difficulty and steps on their tumbling passes.

First break we've seen from her on this event - front aerial had a major balance check (bend at the waist, had to reset feet to keep from falling); the rest of the routine was excellent, including a stuck dismount (bhs to gainer full twist). Perhaps Casey was still thinking about the previous problems she had on floor because she was noticeably tentative going into the front aerial, her first major element. After that she settled in well and maximized the execution of the
remaining skills. |

We also saw some nerves for the first time on this event from Amanda with tiny balance checks here and there, some that went unnoticed depending upon which side of the beam you were on. No major breaks though and she hopped in place on the landing of the running front full twist. |

This was a nice surprise given that O seemed to be perhaps a week or two away from returning to the line-up. But with Brittany Magee favoring an ankle and Kayla Hoffman having the cold fluzies, O was tapped to step in. We saw some new choreography at certain points but skills are essentially the same - bhs to layout step-out; switch leap to straddle-straddle combination; punch front (very nice); round off to 1 1/2 twist, hop on landing. Some balance checks here and there.
She has been practicing the double front (tuck) in the gym again and is expected to resume the E dismount before long. |

A solid routine that could have scored higher until she struggled again on the full turn. Rest of the routine could have flowed a little better as well, as she sometimes seemed to take too much time before executing certain elements. Stuck the double pike dismount though for extra emphasis.

The coaches put Morgan right in the fire by having her anchor beam this week at the last minute and she more than met their expectations by throwing the higher difficulty flight series: bhs to two layout step-outs; switch leap to wolf to tuck full; switch leap to flutter jump; running switch side split leap; round off to double tuck dismount - small shuffle on the landing. Leaps could use just a little more amplitude.
