The 2003 SEC Championship was an evening to remember........I don't ever recall there being that much drama at an SEC Championship event!  The meet was something like a heavyweight boxing match with the Georgia Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide each delivering their best.  This meet was certainly not for the faint of heart.......and it was even tougher on us coaches!  I knew before Ashley Miles took the floor that she needed a 9.925 to tie the Bulldogs and a 9.950 to win......the rest is history!  Ashley's amazing performance left no doubt that the Tide would once again be SEC Champions! All that was left was to watch for the judge's final score! 

There are so many wonderful things that come from winning a championship but personally I think this team has more to gain from winning than any of our previous teams..............because it sets the tone for years to come and this young group of athletes now know what it takes and their desire will be fueled by their success.
