Friday night was a special night for the Crimson Tide in many different ways. Our Bama gymnasts got back on the "winning" track with a victory over the Lady Razorbacks and continued as one of the Nation's most consistent scoring teams this season posting a 197.35 score. The Bama fans enjoyed our tribute to Lauren Holdefer, Stephanie Kite and Jeana Rice as we honored these talented student-athletes on "Senior Night." It is hard to believe their four year career is nearing completion. The parents of all these tremendous athletes joined their daughters for this wonderful celebration. All these ladies prepared exceptionally well and while there is still much gymnastics left to be done, this trio had definitely made their mark on our program for years to come.

Friday night marked the completion of our home meet season for 2004. This season has been extraordinary in the fact that our fans here thoroughly enjoyed our Fun, Family, Fridays and our average attendance exceeded 10,000 for each home event. This is the largest attendance figure in the country this season.

There is still much work to be done---I still believe this 2004 team is trying to "find themselves" and, hopefully, a week away from competition will help recharge their batteries for the championship season!
