Roll Tide Roll!

It was a great Meet over in Athens.......one of those rare occasions when you can perform well, adjust to circumstances and handle pressure during competition with your biggest rival on their home floor, it doesn't get much better than this during the dual meet season! It was a great atmosphere for college gymnastics with two of the nation's best and most successful programs united together for a great cause, "Champions against Cancer." My sincere congratulations go out to Suzanne Yoculan and her staff for bringing even more attention and awareness to the fight against breast cancer. Their support of the Athens Regional Medical Center is phenomenal and it was a privilege to "Wear Our Pink" and be a part of this special event.

I can't say enough about the competitive spirit of our team on this particular night......they were awesome. We weren't perfect by any means but we held together as a team and handled the pressure as any championship team would have to do. Hopefully this night will just serve to make us stronger at the end of the season and prepare us for another great athletic venue in Gwinnett, Georgia in the 2005 SEC Championships.

We are now preparing for the Arkansas Razorbacks after a few days of well deserved "R&R"! The Razorbacks continue to impress me with the level of competition they have produced in such a short period of time. Much credit should be given to Women's Athletic Director Bev Lewis and her vision for starting this program and providing it with everything they need to be successful immediately. We are looking forward to hearing the calling of the hogs......if you can't be there in person just tune in on your computer for our terrific radio broadcast.
