These quotes are most appropriate as David recovers from his recent back surgery. They define both the person and the moment..... David and I cannot thank everyone enough for all the wonderful thoughts, emails, cards and prayers. David underwent surgery May 2^nd for a multiple-level lumbar fusion and is recovering well. He has walked over 3.5 miles this week only 2 weeks after surgery far surpassing the doctor's goal of 2 miles at one month post operative. I guess you can say the phrase "you can't keep a good man down" is really true. Thank you all for your well wishes and support....it means more to us than you will ever know.

Our team is scattered across the country after this time enjoying a bit of "R & R" after exams and the whirlwind of the championship season. Most will return during the summer to train, work and most important of all take a few classes to help them get ahead in their various academic curriculums. The new Paul Bryant Academic Center open since January will definitely be a resource for them to use this summer to help them be successful. This new center of academic services is second to none in the nation....truly something every Bama fan can be proud of!

Camps, recruiting, national coaches meetings - these things are all on our agenda for June and July. We are already looking forward to the arrival of our incoming freshman class and the enthusiasm that they will bring to our team. Plans are already being made for the 2006 season.....so check this website frequently as we keep you up to date on the latest news in Alabama Gymnastics.
