The Tide continues to Roll..... An average of over 14,000 fans witnessed the "Fun and Excitement" of Alabama Gymnastics in our first three home meets of the 2006 Season.  Another record crowd was on hand Friday night, February ^17th as we defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks and continued to lead the Nation in fan support.  It is exciting to see this young team continue to improve and set their sights on the upcoming championship season.  We still have lots of improvements to make, but we continue to work on the "little things" that can make such a huge difference down the road.  We all know the difference .025 or .050 can make. 

The coaches are committed to developing our depth as a team and with only three regular season meets remaining are still trying to find the right combination of competitors on each event to keep us in contention for a championship.  Placing the line-up together is parallel to completing a giant jigsaw puzzle.  We are constantly looking for that missing piece that can somehow bridge the gap and move us forward. 

My sincere appreciation to our tremendous fans.....you all have been awesome.  Our support organization, the Medalist Club, has never been stronger and I attribute that to the efforts of our Board of Directors and President Pat Huet.  Pat’s attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.  There are so many individuals that have helped in so many ways and I am most appreciative of everyone’s support.  You have to look no farther than our fan support to realize what a difference the Medalist Club continues to make in our program. 

We hope you can join us as we travel to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers on March 3rd.  If you can’t be there please join us for our "live" radio broadcast via the internet at www.gymtide.com.  We will return home on March 10^th and March 17^th for our final home events and we hope you will join us as we try to put an exclamation point on our regular season.
