Jeana Rice

Q: What did you think about the Super Six Challenge?

A: "I was really excited because of all of the fans. I feel like I was pretty well prepared from all of my practice. I was a little nervous though."

Q: How do you feel your background prepared you for the competition?

A: "I think that I was helped by my experience of competing in front of a large crowd before. However, I really haven't competed at a collegiate competition, so I really didn't know what to expect at first."

Q: What was the best thing about competing this weekend?

A: "This was my first college meet. It was so much better than individual competition because I had the whole team behind me. That was great."

Q: Are there any new skills you are training? Will you compete them?

A: "I am training new skills, but I am going to continue to work on my routines that I competed this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to put those skills in my routines. I'm working on my triple-full dismount of beam and a double-double dismount off bars (double-twisting double back). It would be really exciting if I could get those in. I'm also working a one and a half (yurchenko) vault and a full-in on floor."

Q: What competitions are you looking forward to?

A: "I am really excited for SECs. I want us to win again this year. Everyone has told me how awesome it is to win, and I want to do it. I am also looking forward to nationals, too. I want us to win that as well."
