Q: How did it feel competing in front of only 1,200 people after performing in front of 9,000+ at home?
A: "When your competing you don't pay attention to the crowd very much, but it felt a lot different. Because of the number of people there it felt more like a practice, but we did have a large number of Alabama fans who traveled with us."
Q: You competed your first 10.0 start value vault (a handspring front pike half) last week and scored a 9.825. How much pressure did you feel considering you were competing against UCLA and due to the new one vault rule?
A: "I had trained the vault well so I was comfortable with it. It helped my nerves that I was last up and everyone else had hit their vaults."
Q: Should we expect at new skills on other events in the near future?
A: "I am training a new beam dismount which you won't see in the upcoming meet, but maybe the next one."
Q: How has it helped you this season already having a year's worth of experience?
A: "It makes it less nerve wracking. You know what to expect, and you know what your job is."
Q: You have an unusual style on the uneven bars, which is a hybrid of traditional swing and power approaches. How did you develop this style?
A: "A lot of it had to do with coaching style. That was just the way I learned to do bars. I don't think my style in particularly unusual, but I do perform a skill no one else does a Schuschunova.."
Q: Have you thought about what you want to major in yet?
A: "Probably either biology or psychology and then when I graduate I will either go to medical school or physical therapy school."
