Q: How did you become interested in gymnastics?
A: "When I was younger I took a tumbling and dance class and my teacher suggested that I might be good at gymnastics."
Q: A lot of former Alabama gymnasts (Merritt Booth, Sheryl Dundas, Kara Stilp and Stephanie Woods) came out of the same club program as you, did this influence your decision to come here?
A: "I think it helped me learn about the program. I knew that they had all gone to school here and that they really liked it."
Q: How do you deal with the pressure of a meet like the one with Georgia where you know it's going to come down to the last competitor or in situation where a teammate has already had a fall?
A: "I don't think about how close a meet is or whether someone has had a fall when I'm competing. I just block that out and try to do things just like I would in practice."
Q: What do you think it will take for Alabama to beat Georgia in Athens this week?
A: "We need to hit our routines, have fun and pull together as a team."
Q: What is your favorite event to perform?
A: "I like competing on the floor exercise because of the crowd response."
Q: Are you training any new skills?
A: "Right now I'm training a Rudi on floor and I'm upgrading my tumbling passes on floor. I'm also working on a Rudi dismount on beam.
Q: So far we've seen on the floor exercise and on the beam, are we likely to see you on any other events?
A: "I'm training bars, but you probably won't see me compete this year."
