Q: This past week at Georgia was your first time competing for the Tide. Were you nervous being that this was your first time in competition and considering that you were competing against Georgia?
A: "I wasn't nervous because I had done exhibitions. When we marched out the Georgia fans booed us, that might have bothered some people, but it made me feel more aggressive. It pumped up my confidence."
Q: What kind of outlook did you/the team take into the Georgia meet coming off of last week's disappointing score against Kentucky?
A: "We had disappointed ourselves too, because knew we could do it that we were a better team than that. We just needed to get our confidence level up. We needed to hit our routines and not worry about Georgia; they would take care of themselves."
Q: Does having the TV cameras on you bother you?
A: "At first I thought I would freak out, but now I don't pay any attention to the cameras around me. Tom Haley (coach for the Bama Bounders program) helped prepare Erin and I for that."
Q: How has the experience of being in college and being an Alabama gymnast matched up with what you expected it to be like?
A: "Adjusting to college has been hard, but the gymnastics part hasn't been that different. I do get up early in the morning to do weights. I can't practice as long as I want because of NCAA rules. At the club level if I was having problems with something I could go in extra to work on it, but now I can't.
Q: What is a typical day like for you?
A: "I get up and go to class, then I'll get something to eat. Next I'll go to the gym for treatments, then practice until about 4:30, then to the training room for treatments then I'll go home. Mostly I study then, but some nights I have labs to go to."
