Pooh says Welcome >>

Man oh man has it ever been fun being around all of the creative geniuses we have working on this site. From "techno-nerds" to the "artsie-shmartsie" types, there are some real talented folks involved with this page. It is at times fun to get to hear all of the nice things people have to say about the page, although I often feel guilty knowing that I did not have much to do with it (well, I feel guilty for a little while). Please understand that I am sure there are things that are not "way-cool" about the site. Understand that everything you like on the page was probably done by one of my talented experts; all that is wrong was probably my idea.

Recently some people have commented that "this site is not as good as..." In every instance I have heard, they have compared us to a gymnastics site run by a university, NOT a support group. Please understand that we are NOT the University of Alabama, and thus should not be compared to other universities that have entire staffs to work on their web page. I have heard that we have what is the most elaborate page of any support group, for any sport in the world. Recently a very prominent university on the left coast (one with a very successful gymnastic program; and football too as fate would have it) called us to find out "how you folks do all that you do in the medalist club". The fellow said that he had been all over the web, and we had by far the "coolest site of any gymnastics site." So for the folks who think we are slipping a little, I guess you are never appreciated as much in your hometown as you are far away.

I hope you enjoy the site.
