Monday, September 18 marked the first day of official practice. The ladies of the Alabama Gymnastics team have been hard at it since the first day of classes at the Capstone (and some for even longer since they were here this summer), but up until Monday the coaches could only spot the ladies. As of Monday, lines such as "I think I will only do one more of these today" may well be replaced with "I just did the third of my five runs." Although the "regular" season is three and a half months away, "Championship Seasons" start in mid-September.

The Board of Directors of the Medalist Club took a little "field trip" to greet the girls on their first day of practice. It was hard to tell which group was more excited, the Board or the team. Not, of course, excited about the Board being there, but excited to get things officially kicked off.
