TUSCALOOSA, ALA - The McAlisters Delis in Tuscaloosa and Northport have pledged 100% of the sales from their famous sweet tea and lemonade on Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5 to the DCH Breast Cancer Fund as part of their support of the Alabama Gymnastics Team's "Target the Cure" initiative.

And to get in the "Think Pink", "Wear Pink" flavor of "Target the Cure", McAlisters will be forgoing their regular lemonade on those two days for pink lemonade.

"This is a great cause and we are happy do our part for it," Charles Evans, McAlisters' marketing director for the Tuscaloosa/Northport area said.

"Target the Cure" is the brainchild of Alabama head coach Sarah Patterson working in conjunction with the Auburn gymnastics program and the DCH Breast Cancer Fund. On Friday, Feb. 4, the Alabama and Auburn gymnastics teams will face off in Coleman Coliseum starting at 7:30 p.m. Alabama will put away its crimson and white and Auburn will leave its blue and orange behind and both teams will wear PINK in hopes of making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

The DCH Foundation has set up the DCH Breast Cancer Fund to support Sarah Patterson's "Target the Cure" initiative. Donation can be made to the DCH Breast Cancer Fund by mailing a check to: DCH Foundation, 809 University Blvd. E., Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. The DCH Breast Cancer Fund should be noted on the memo line of the check.

The DCH Breast Cancer Fund's purpose is to provide the means for early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Patients who meet the eligibility requirements as disadvantaged will be provided assistance to pay for early detection; and if detection is made then assistance in the subsequent treatment of the disease at the DCH Regional Medical Center, or Northport Medical Center.
