Sarah and David Patterson, in the midst of their 29th season coaching the Alabama Gymnastics team, were on hand at the Country Club of Tuscaloosa Thursday morning, serving as honorary chairs of the Tuscaloosa Adopt-a-School golf and tennis tournaments.

The Pattersons have been part of the Adopt-a-School project for several years, lending their time and support.

"As coaches at the University of Alabama, we believe strongly in the power of education," Sarah Patterson said."The Adopt-a-School program is a tremendous endeavor and one that we are proud to be a part of. I'm so pleased that the weather cooperated and we had such a great day for golf and tennis for such a great cause."

After getting the golfers started, the Pattersons made their way to Indian Hills Country Club to cheer on those participating in the tennis tournament as well.

Thursday marked the sixteenth consecutive year that golfers and tennis players rally in support of the Adopt-A-School Program. These tournaments are the annual fundraising event to benefit the coordination and administration of the Adopt-A-School program.
